A 2-electrode conductivity sensor is a sensor used to measure the conductivity of a solution. It consists of two electrodes, one for delivering current and the other for measuring voltage. During the measurement, the current electrode introduces an electric current into the liquid sample, while the voltage electrode measures the potential difference in the liquid. According to Ohm's law, conductivity (or conductance) is the ratio of the potential difference generated when an electric current passes through a liquid sample per unit cross-sectional area to the current intensity. 2-electrode conductivity sensors are widely used in water quality analysis, environmental monitoring, chemical laboratories, and other fields. They are simple, economical, and fast to measure and are suitable for conductivity measurement of many liquid samples.
